July 6, 2012 - SBFCA Responds to Sutter Grand Jury Report
On July 6, SBFCA formally responded to the findings and recommendations of the Sutter County Grand Jury as detailed in its 2011-12 report. In its response, SBFCA thanked the Grand Jury for its service and the opportunity to respond. In sum, SBFCA had previously implemented, or was in the process of implementing, the recommendations of the Grand Jury at the time its report was issued. In its response, SBFCA provided corrections to a number of inaccuracies contained within the material content of the Grand Jury's report.

May 20, 2011 - Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report Updates
On May 20, 2011 a Notice of Intent (NOI) was published in the Federal Register and a Notice of Preparation (NOP) was submitted to the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, State Clearinghouse to signify the start of the scoping period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statements/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) for the Sutter Basin Feasibility Study and Feather River West Levee Project.
An NOI and NOP are required by the National Environmental Policy Act and the California Environmental Quality Act, respectively. They provide the interested, responsible and trustee agencies and the Office of Planning and Research with information about the proposed project, the scoping process, possible alternatives, and potential environmental effects. This allows the notified agencies to submit a thoughtful response during the scoping period.
